Birds Photography Tour – Bharatpur

Welcome to India’s most famous avifauna sanctuary in Bharatpur, Rajasthan. Initially this place was famous as Bharatpur Bird sanctuary. Now this is more known as Keoladeo National park or Keoladeo Ghana National Park. Keoladeo is name derived from old temple of lord shiva & Ghana means thick forest.

Keoladeo is best example of man-made , man-managed wet-land & National park. Initially the place was used for waterfowl hunting ground. The total area of the park is only 29 sq.km but for nature lovers & wild-lifers & for Photographers it is a boon. One can see the mix type vegetation comprising of dry grasslands, woodlands, woodland swamps and wetlands. In all different types of habitats 366 species of birds, 379 flowers plant, 50 species of fish, 13 species of snake, 05 species of lizards, 07 amphibians and 07 turtles species are noted so far.

Migratory birds at Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary include several species of Cranes, Pelicans, Geese, Ducks, Eagles, Hawks, Shanks, Stints, Wagtails, Warblers, Wheatears, Flycatchers, Buntings, Larks and Pipits, etc. It is mainly known for migrated Siberian cranes.

From Agra it is 55 kms on Agra- Jaipur Highway, 200 kms from Jaipur & Delhi. The nearest rail station is Bharatpur ( 04 kms) & nearest Airport is Agra.

The best time from birding & photography point of view is November to March.

3 Days & 2 Nights stay at The Birder’s Inn resort near Bharatpur Birds Sanctuary, Rajasthan, INDIA

Stay at resort:

This stay would be twin sharing basis in best resort.

Resort will be well sanitized before we do check-in and taking all precautions to avoid contamination. Single bed will be provided and resort staff also well trained to keep social distancing.

Travel Plan: Any Location – Bharatpur – Any Location

*All level Photographers are invited from any location in India.

Day-1:

You expect to reach The Birder’s Inn resort at 11:00AM for check-in and freshen up before lunch at 1:30PM. We will have pick-up and drop facility for Bird Sanctuary and we will proceed for 1st Safari session at 2:00PM on Rikshaw or Cycle as per individual preference. On your first safari session, you should be exploring the entire area for photography. You will have endless opportunities to capture your memorable photographs. We will have local guide with expert knowledge on birds and also arrange on field training session for tips and tricks for birds’ photography. We will be back to resort in evening and have evening tea/coffee with group session to review our first-hand work and also discuss plan for next 2 days.

Day-2:

We will start our day very early as park opens at 6:00AM. We will proceed for 2nd Safari session at 6:15AM on Rikshaw or Cycle as per individual preference. You don’t need to worry about Rikshaw or Cycle charges and allowed to keep it with you while walking around inside park at no extra cost (All Safaris cost included in package cost). Bharatpur Birds Sanctuary known as ‘birds paradise’ and a boon for Birds Photographer. In all different types of habitats 366 species of birds, 379 flowers plant, 50 species of fish, 13 species of snake, 05 species of lizards, 07 amphibians and 07 turtles species are noted so far. We will have our lunch packed by resort staff in hygienic condition and lunch will be served at 1:30PM in canteen with open sitting inside the park. After lunch we will have group discussion on technical problems during session and then proceed for 3rd Safari session at 2:00PM on Rikshaw or Cycle as per individual preference. We should not miss the sunset hours, which offers excellent opportunity for capturing birds in golden light and beautiful silhouette moments.

Day-3:

We will start our day very early as park opens at 6:00AM. We will proceed for 4th Safari session at 6:15AM on Rikshaw or Cycle as per individual preference. We will utilize or final session in Morning time for birds photography with sunrise at Bharatpur and we will conclude our tour after this session at 1:00PM.

Maximum Number of Participants: Fifteen (15)

This keeps the group small to ensure maximum learning for all.
